Testimonials:

A big THANK YOU to the Teachers, The Executive Board Members, Committee Chairs, and The Class Reps. It was a combined effort that made for such a great year. All the kids had fun and learned and grew a lot, as did I. Ultimately, that’s what we are here for; To provide a safe, fun place where kids can be kids, and they can learn to interact with their peers and make friends that will last long after they leave this school. This is their stepping stone into the real world and what they learn here will help shape their futures. I am confident that what my kids learned will, and has prepared them for what will come. I feel lucky to have been able to put both my kids through this school and when we leave, it will be with great sadness but no regrets. I will leave, as will my son and my daughter before him, having formed friendships that will last forever.

When I first read the school’s mission statement, before we came to the school, I thought, “That sounds like a good idea.” but was a little skeptical that it was as good as they made it sound. Having gone through it I can say, "It really is that good." It’s kind of like Yosemite, no one can tell you what it’s like, you have to be there and experience it for yourself to know what it’s like.

Our time at Franklin Park preschool has been wonderful from the very beginning. I believe this school offers a warm, nurturing environment, while still preparing my son for the structure of kindergarten. I have seen him grow and change and adapt to playing well with other children as well as learning to listen to a teacher and follow directions. I have also immensely enjoyed being an in-class parent and seeing his progress first hand. Co-op preschools offer this glimpse into your child's world and helps you to stay on top of what is happening from week to week inside the class room. I know that Franklin Park has prepared my son very well for the rigors of kindergarten and I look forward to sending my younger son to this school in a few years!

Franklin Park Preschool has provided my kids with exactly what they needed for their preschool years. The curriculum is always developmentally appropriate, teaching new skills and strengthening the fine and gross motor skills they are working at perfecting during these preschool years. The teachers take the play-to-learn concept to it's most fully developed level; they provide a rich learning environment every day, filled with paint, glue, dress up, stories and songs. I couldn't find a better program for my kids, and the community that comes with a coop is indispensable for both the children and the parents as we begin to help our children navigate their way in the larger social world. My two children and I have both come through Franklin Park Coop Preschool richer with the knowledge provided and the friends found.

This is our family's fourth year at Franklin Park and every aspect of our experience has been above and beyond what we ever expected from a preschool setting. Taking an active role in our children's first years of education has set the foundation for the future. Our little Adam thrives in Franklin Park's caring environment, surrounded by involved parents, age-appropriate creative centers and themes, extra curricular activities and top notch teachers.

Franklin Park Co-op Preschool holds true to it's mission statement: "To provide an atmosphere of discovery, joy, and creativity". We see it in our child's eyes when he exits each day. We feel it when he enthusiastically tells us about his adventures at school. Franklin Park consistently provides "a place where our children can learn about the world around them through social interaction and hands-on learning".

Our teachers are the school's greatest strengths. THEY ARE OUR CO-OP. Pat and Maybelle are exemplary teachers. They bring out the best in our children, build their self-esteem and thoroughly prepare them for kindergarten, They are the reason that Franklin Park outshines other preschools.

We feel honored to have them as teachers for our children and will undoubtedly miss them next year, as we move on to kindergarten. We look forward to our third child having the same outstanding pre-school experience with Pat and Maybelle.
